MÜLLER’S MICHAEL INPONG LANDS GLOBAL MARKETING ROLE
A key member of the team behind the resurgence of the Müller brand in the UK and Ireland has been given an expanded global marketing role within the company.
Michael Inpong (40)has been instrumental in reviving the UK and ROI Müller portfolio of yogurt and chilled desserts products including Müller Corner, Müllerlight, Müller Rice and Cadbury chilled desserts, in his position as Müller Dairy Marketing and R&D Director.
He took up his new global role as Chief Marketing Officer for Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller in January, and will remain in charge of UK and Ireland marketing and R&D operations as part of his expanded brief.
Ronald Kers, Chief Executive of Müller Group said: “From a marketing and product development perspective, Michael has succeeded in reconnecting the Müller brand with the consumer since he joined us in 2012.
“Our products are now ‘Müllerlicious’, delivering game changing innovation, indulgence and pleasure and in the coming year we intend to apply the same energy and focus to brand building in all markets we serve around the world.”
In the past two years the company has introduced more than 100 products including the relaunch of Müller Corner, Müllerlight and Müller Rice and award winning variants like de Luxe Corner and Kids Corner.
Müller has led the way in the Greek Style yogurt category in the UK with Müllerlight Greek Style, and brought on board distinctive new ambassadors like Nicole Scherzinger, Tasty B and the Müllerlight lifeguard to build further interest in their brands.
The Müller brand revitalisation was recognised with the award of The Grocer’s Brand of the Year in June 2014.

Müller Minsterley is our facility near Shrewsbury at which chilled desserts including Cadbury Bubbles of Joy, Pots of Joy, Layers of Joy and Twin-pot products are produced under a license from Cadbury.
TM Telford is a state of the art yogurt production facility in Telford, Shropshire which is focused on the development of the company’s presence in the UK private label yogurt market.
To make its range of dairy products, the company buys milk from more than 1,200 British dairy farmers, all of whom are Red Tractor Farm Assured.
Müller Wiseman Milk Group Dairy members elect a representative farmer board which works with the company to discuss milk supply issues, including the Group’s commitment to maintain a competitive milk price and contractual position.
