Müller Partners Up With GB Taekwondo for Rio 2016 Olympic Games

Müller and GB Taekwondo are pleased to announce a partnership that will see Britain’s leading yogurt and chilled dairy pudding manufacturer Müller Yogurt & Desserts support team preparations for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The partnership gives Müller marketing and activation rights across its brands through to the end of 2016 and will particularly focus on experiential events and activities for Müller’s employees.

Several events have already been staged at GB Taekwondo’s new £3M National Taekwondo Centre in Manchester, which have seen GB Taekwondo athletes and performance staff provide dynamic, unique insights into the world of a high performance Olympic programme. More special events are already planned in the run up to the 2016 Olympic Games this summer.

GB Taekwondo have already qualified for four athlete places for this summer’s Games in Rio and are hoping to build on their Olympic successes following London 2012’s Gold Medal for Jade Jones and Bronze Medal for Lutalo Muhammad.

Müller’s Chief Marketing Officer Michael Inpong, said: “We are extremely proud to have the opportunity to support GB Taekwondo during their preparation for Rio 2016. Working with GB Taekwondo is a natural fit for us. Their core values around dedication and commitment to win and keep winning is very much in line with our Müller vision and mission.

“We are keen to work together and share learning and experiences in the run up to Rio 2016. We can’t wait to bring fantastic experience days to our hard working colleagues in partnership with GB Taekwondo and we wish them all the luck for this year’s Olympic Games in Rio 2016.”

GB Taekwondo Director Steve Flynn, commented: “We’re delighted to have Müller on board as an Official Partner and at such a key stage in own preparations for Rio 2016.

“To have the valued support of such a strong market-leading brand as Müller is testament to the progress that the sport has made here in the UK, in such a short space of time and the profile it now enjoys.

“Müller’s values, their ambition and commitment to delivering excellence matches our own at GB Taekwondo and we look forward to working together during what will be a very exciting year.”
